Professional wrestling is mourning the loss of one of its legends, Sika Anoai, better known to fans as Sika of The Wild Samoans. The Hall of Famer passed away on June 25, 2024, at the age of 79.

Born Leati Sika Amituanai Anoaʻi on April 5, 1945, in Nu'uuli, American Samoa, Sika was the son of Amituana'i Anoa'i Sr. and To'omalatai Anoa'i. He began his wrestling career in the 1970s and quickly rose through the ranks, forming a formidable tag team with his younger brother, Afa Anoaʻi.

As The Wild Samoans, Sika and Afa dominated professional wrestling for over a decade, capturing numerous tag team titles in various promotions, including the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF, now WWE). They were known for their physicality, charisma, and unwavering support for their family members.

Sika's passing has left a void in the wrestling world, especially for his son, WWE Superstar Roman Reigns, who has carried on his father's legacy as a multi-time WWE Champion. In a statement, Reigns expressed his love for his father and his unwavering gratitude for his support.
